Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA), 70-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Apponequet Regional upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Lakers host Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a South Coast bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Sachems clash with the Norwell Clippers (Norwell, MA) in a South Shore bout, on Friday, January 12. Middleborough will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
