Rocky Mount Academy Eagles (Rocky Mount, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots (Kinston, NC), 68-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rocky Mount Academy upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC) to play the Spartans in a NCISAA Carolina Independent bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Kerr-Vance Academy won 58-49 in their recent league bout against Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain game, on Friday, January 12. Arendell Parrott Academy will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 16-7 record after their 54-43 league win over Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC).
