Puyallup Vikings (Puyallup, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bellarmine Prep Lions (Tacoma, WA), 56-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Puyallup upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Auburn Mountainview (Auburn, WA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Lions play the Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) in a 4A South Puget Sound - North bout, on Friday, January 12. Bellarmine Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 51-45 non-league win over Emerald Ridge (South Hill, WA).
