With the victory, Dougherty upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Monroe (Albany, GA) to play the Golden Tornadoes in a AAA Region 1 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Golden Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. Monroe won 70-30 in their recent league challenge against Crisp County (Cordele, GA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, GA) in a AAA Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 55-44 non-league loss to Cairo (Cairo, GA).
