The Hart County Bulldogs (Hartwell, GA) basketball nipped the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 70-66 in Wednesday's league test.
The Bulldogs (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Lions go into the AAA Region 8 test with a 13-0 record. In their last test, Hebron Christian got by Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA), 73-47, in a league test.
The Purple Hurricanes now own a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin County for a AAA Region 8 test on Friday, January 12. Monroe Area will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 60-56 league loss to Stephens County (Toccoa, GA). The Lions record now stands at 8-7.
