The Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team (Troy, NC), was overwhelmed 65-32 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC)

The Panthers now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Davidson for a 3A Mid-Piedmont battle on Friday, January 19. Ledford will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 86-27 league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 10-5.

The Timberwolves (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Blue Comets come into the 3A Mid-Piedmont battle with a 13-2 record. In their last battle, Asheboro was overwhelmed by Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 71-66, in a league battle.
