New Jersey High School Basketball - Long Branch overwhelmed by St. Rose

The St. Rose Purple Roses basketball team scored 89 points and restricted the visiting Long Branch Green Wave to 36 in the Purple Roses non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Purple Roses now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holmdel for a Shore A - Central contest on Thursday, January 11. St. Rose will battle a Hornets team coming off a 63-54 league win over St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 9-1.
The Green Wave (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Neptune (Neptune, NJ). The Scarlet Fliers come into the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Neptune was routed by Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ), 54-42, in a league contest.
