Georgia High School Basketball - Metter knocked off by Savannah

The Savannah Bluejackets basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Metter Tigers to 44 in the Bluejackets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bluejackets now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryan County for a A D1 Region 3 contest on Friday, January 12. Savannah will meet a Redskins team coming off a 64-38 non-league loss to Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 9-4.

The Tigers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Gamecocks enter the A D1 Region 3 contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Screven County was outscored by Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA), 59-44, in a league contest.
