In Wednesday's league outing, the Spencerville Adventist Academy Hornets (Spencerville, MD) basketball squad felled the visiting Washington International Red Devils (Washington, DC), by a margin of 54-46.

The Hornets (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Washington Christian Academy (Olney, MD). The Wildcats enter the Potomac Valley match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Washington Christian Academy was outscored by Washington International (Washington, DC), 57-45, in a league match.

With the defeat, Washington International moves to 6-1 on the year. The Red devils host Don Bosco Cristo Rey (Takoma Park, MD) to meet the Wolfpack in a Freelance match on Friday, January 12. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 2-5. Don Bosco Cristo Rey won 46-42 in their recent non-league match against Yeshiva (Silver Spring, MD)
