The Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) basketball knocked off the host University Hawks (Morgantown, WV), 54-45 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Patriots (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers go into the non-league test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Buckhannon-Upshur went down by Liberty (Clarksburg, WV), 65-58, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Morgantown for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. University will encounter a Mohigans squad coming off a 71-46 league win over Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV). The Mohigans record now stands at 7-1.
