Nevada High School Basketball - Del Sol edges Cimarron-Memorial

The Del Sol Dragons (Las Vegas, NV) basketball nipped the host Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV), 43-37 in Wednesday's league test.
The Dragons (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon (Henderson, NV). The Pirate go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record.
The Spartans now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a non-league test on Thursday, January 11. Cimarron-Memorial will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-29 non-league win over Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
First Quarter
The Cimarron Boys came out on fire defensively with excellent ball pressure, racing to an early lead. Point Guard Mahshad Jordan lead the Spartans with 6 points to start the contest.
Second Quarter
The 2nd Quarter was another victory for the Spartan Boys when Forward Chazmier Floyd lead his team with 5 of their 13 points, which included a very timely 3 Point basket.
Third Quarter
Coming out of Half Time the Spartans struggled to put the ball in the basket & Del Sol outscored Cimarron 14 to 7.
Fourth Quarter
The Cimarron Boys fought back late & the Joseph Noel hit two huge 3 Pointers pulling the Spartans with in 2 Points, but it was not enough to over come Del Sol who finished the game 13/14 form the Free Throw Line.
