In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Merritt Island Mustangs basketball team scored a good 47-34 triumph over the Astronaut War Eagles.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Cocoa Tigers (Cocoa, FL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 11. Merritt Island will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 8-7 record after their 35-26 non-league win over Gateway (Kissimmee, FL).
