In Wednesday's league match, the host Edisto Cougars basketball team scored a good 47-34 triumph over the Barnwell Warhorses.
In their next game, the Cougars meet the Hampton County Hurricanes (Varnville, SC) in a AA Region 6 match, on Friday, January 12. Edisto will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Hurricanes enter the match with a 7-6 record after their 37-36 non-league win over Whale Branch (Beaufort, SC).
With the defeat, Barnwell moves to 1-7 on the year. The Warhorses travel to Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, January 11.
