Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brooklyn Hurricanes (Brooklyn, OH), 64-20 in a league bout.
With the victory, Independence upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Kirtland (Kirtland, OH) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Kirtland lost 43-27 in their recent league bout against Berkshire (Burton, OH)
Next up, the Hurricanes play the Trinity Trojans (Garfield Heights, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Metro bout, on Saturday, January 13. Brooklyn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 44-32 league loss to Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH).
