Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Simi Valley Pioneers (Simi Valley, CA), 60-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Camarillo upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Royal (Simi Valley, CA) to play the Highlanders in a Coastal Canyon bout on Friday, January 12. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 2-17. Royal lost 59-15 in their recent league bout against Moorpark (Moorpark, CA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Heritage Christian Warriors (Northridge, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Simi Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 52-32 non-league win over Grant (Van Nuys, CA).
