In Wednesday's league outing, the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), by a count of 53-24.

The Roadrunners (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Spartans go into the East Suburban Catholic outing with a 17-5 record. In their last outing, Marian Catholic smashed Kankakee (Kankakee, IL), 58-46, in a non-league outing.

The Corsairs now hold a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 13. Carmel will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL). The Knights record now stands at 12-7.
