In their next game, the Spartans face the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon game, on Thursday, January 11. Vista Grande will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Dons enter the game with a 3-11 record after their 52-38 league loss to Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ).

With the defeat, Cortez moves to 1-7 on the year. The Colts travel to Tempe (Tempe, AZ) to face the Buffaloes in a 4A Black Canyon game on Thursday, January 11. The Buffaloes come into the battle with a record of 1-10. Tempe lost 58-9 in their recent league battle against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ)
