The Elgin Maroons basketball team (Elgin, IL), was overwhelmed 65-24 in Wednesday's league battle with the host South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL)
The Storm now possess a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a Upstate Eight battle on Friday, January 12. South Elgin will battle a Hawks team coming off a 70-35 league loss to Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 8-13.
The Maroons (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Royals come into the Upstate Eight battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Larkin was overwhelmed by Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL), 47-34, in a league battle.
