In Wednesday's league outing, the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) basketball squad beat the host Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA), by a margin of 47-38.

The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Forest City (Forest City, PA). The Foresters go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Forest City was beaten by Delaware Valley (Milford, PA), 46-24, in a non-league outing.

The Crusaders now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeland for a Lackawanna 3 outing on Friday, January 12.
