The Kaneland Knights basketball team (Maple Park, IL), was nudged 46-45 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL)
The Spartans now possess a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LaSalle-Peru for a Interstate 8 battle on Friday, January 12. Sycamore will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 40-38 league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-11.
The Knights (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Glenbard South edged Larkin (Elgin, IL), 47-34, in a league battle.
