The Keene Central Beavers basketball team (Keene Valley, NY), was nudged 26-24 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Lake Placid Bombers (Lake Placid, NY)

The Bombers now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crown Point for a Section 7 Mountain and Valley II battle on Friday, January 12. Lake Placid will battle a Panthers team coming off a 39-29 non-league win over Fort Ann (Fort Ann, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 3-6.

The Beavers (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bolton Central (Bolton Landing, NY). The Eagles come into the Section 7 Mountain and Valley II battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Bolton Central edged Schroon Lake (Schroon Lake, NY), 42-26, in a league battle.
