The Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH) basketball felled the host South Rebels (Willoughby, OH), 39-27 in Wednesday's league test.
The Wildcats (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Chardon (Chardon, OH). The Hilltoppers go into the Western Reserve test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Chardon thwarted North (Eastlake, OH), 51-24, in a league test.
The Rebels now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Kenston for a Western Reserve test on Saturday, January 13. South will encounter a Bombers squad coming off a 59-52 league loss to Riverside (Painesville, OH). The Bombers record now stands at 2-10.
