Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Eagles (North, SC), 53-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Ridge Spring-Monetta upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Trojans travel to Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC) to clash with the Saints in a A Region 4 bout on Friday, January 12. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Calhoun County won 40-19 in their recent league bout against Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Wagener-Salley War Eagles (Wagener, SC) in a A Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 12. North will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The War Eagles go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 60-10 league loss to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC).
