In Wednesday's league match, the host Northside Vikings basketball team scored a good 47-37 triumph over the Staunton River Golden Eagles.
In their next game, the Vikings face the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge match, on Friday, January 12. Northside will attempt to move on its 4-9 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 11-2 record after their 52-46 league win over Fleming (Roanoke, VA).
