Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC), 37-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Southern Alamance upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Patriots travel to East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-6. East Chapel Hill lost 46-39 in their recent non-league bout against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)

Next up, the Rockets play the Orange Panthers (Hillsborough, NC) in a 3A Central bout, on Friday, January 12. Person will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 54-47 league loss to Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC).
