The Portola Bulldogs basketball team (Irvine, CA), was overwhelmed 71-44 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA)

The Lightning now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverdale Baptist for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 13. Sage Hill will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 75-31 non-league loss to Central Pointe Christian Academy National (Kissimmee, FL). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-13.

The Bulldogs (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Northwood (Irvine, CA). The Timberwolves come into the Pacific Coast battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Northwood trounced Woodbridge (Irvine, CA), 53-51, in a league battle.
