The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Topeka Trojans to 26 in the Blues non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Blues now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manhattan for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Washburn Rural will battle a Indians team coming off a 46-9 non-league win over Junction City/St. Xavier (Junction City, KS). The Indians record now stands at 8-1.

The Trojans (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hayden (Topeka, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 7-1 record.
