Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), saw Washington-Liberty's basketball squad wallop Herndon by a tally of 52-17.

With the victory, Washington-Liberty improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Generals host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Yorktown won 48-26 in their recent league challenge against Langley (McLean, VA)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 12. Herndon will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Fighting Owls come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 32-30 non-league loss to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA).
