Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 53-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Patton upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to clash with the Hilltoppers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. East Rutherford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 60-11 non-league win over Chase (Forest City, NC).
