The Ellison Lions basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Hancock Eagles to 28 in the Lions non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cristo Rey Jesuit for a contest on Friday, January 12. Ellison will battle a Cristeros team coming off a 55-7 league loss to Ida Crown Jewish Academy (Chicago, IL). The Cristeros record now stands at 1-5.
The Eagles (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Longwood (Chicago, IL). The Panthers come into the contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Longwood prevailed over Richards (Chicago, IL), 40-36, in a league contest.
