Winter Springs Bears (Winter Springs, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lyman Greyhounds (Longwood, FL), 44-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Winter Springs upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Lake Mary (Lake Mary, FL) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Lake Mary won 59-45 in their recent non-league bout against Seminole (Sanford, FL)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Lake Brantley Patriots (Altamonte Springs, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Lyman will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
