Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), 53-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Morehead upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC) to play the Red Raiders in a bout on Friday, January 12. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 5-7.

Next up, the Phoenix play the Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. McMichael will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
