The New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), 93-36 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Trojans (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Lafayette was trounced by Bruton (Williamsburg, VA), 47-46, in a non-league test.
The Islanders now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Tabb for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. Poquoson will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 46-45 non-league loss to Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
