West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC), 42-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Henderson upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Bears play the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Pisgah will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 57-25 league loss to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
