Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC), 52-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rocky Mount Prep upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC) to play the Trojans in a bout on Friday, January 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 12-0.
Next up, the Vikings play the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Tarboro will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 42-38 non-league loss to Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC).
