The Surry County Cougars basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Windsor Dukes to 32 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greensville County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Surry County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 35-27 non-league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-0.
The Dukes (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Greensville County (Emporia, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Greensville County triumphed over Surry County (Dendron, VA), 38-26, in a non-league contest.
