Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons (Hillsborough, CA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Harker Eagles (San Jose, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Gryphons confront the Pinewood Panthers (Los Altos Hills, CA) in a West Bay challenge, on Friday, January 12. Crystal Springs Uplands will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA).

The Eagles now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to King's Academy for a West Bay challenge on Friday, January 12. Harker will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Menlo School (Atherton, CA). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
