The Alto Yellowjackets (Alto, TX) basketball crushed the visiting New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX), 80-31 in Friday's league bout.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Mt. Enterprise for a 2A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Alto will play a Wildcats team coming off a 47-39 league win over Carlisle (Price, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, New Summerfield falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Cushing (Cushing, TX) to play the Bearkats in a 2A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Bearkats go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Cushing lost 67-59 in their recent league bout against Douglass (Douglass, TX)
