In Friday's league contest, the visiting Whitmer Panthers basketball team scored a close 73-70 triumph over the Anthony Wayne Generals.

The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northview (Sylvania, OH). The Wildcats go into the Northern Lakes contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Northview nipped Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI), 63-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Generals confront the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets (Perrysburg, OH) in a Northern Lakes contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Anthony Wayne will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 83-56 non-league loss to Central Catholic (Toledo, OH).
