Alaska High School Basketball - Birchwood Christian overwhelms Holy Rosary Academy

The Birchwood Christian Warriors basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Holy Rosary Academy Knights to 27 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Newhalen for a non-league game on Friday, January 10. Birchwood Christian will confront a Malamutes team coming off a 67-32 non-league loss to Tri-Valley (Healy, AK). The Malamutes record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Holy Rosary Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Tanalian (Port Alsworth, AK) to confront the Lynx in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Lynx go into the game with a record of 0-5. Tanalian lost 30-27 in their recent non-league game against Newhalen (Newhalen, AK)
