Texas High School Basketball - Bryson thwarts Newcastle

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Bryson Cowboys (Bryson, TX) and the host Newcastle Bobcats (Newcastle, TX), observed Bryson's basketball team knock off Newcastle by a score of 64-50.
The Cowboys (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodson (Woodson, TX). The Cowboys come into the 1A Region III District 17 challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, Woodson was knocked off by Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, TX), 44-35, in a league game.
With the loss, Newcastle falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Garner (Weatherford, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Longhorns go into the game with a record of 14-7. Garner won 61-18 in their recent league game against Throckmorton (Throckmorton, TX)
