The Calhoun Sandcrabs basketball squad (Port Lavaca, TX), was crushed 70-37 in Friday's league battle with the host Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX)

With the victory, Jones advances its record to 13-9 on the year. The Trojans travel to Sinton (Sinton, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 4A Region IV District 30 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 4-16. Sinton won 52-37 in their recent league battle against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX)

The Sandcrabs (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Mustangs come into the 4A Region IV District 30 test with a 16-6 record. In their last test, Ingleside was overwhelmed by Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX), 64-59, in a non-league test.
