The Norwin Knights (North Huntingdon, PA) basketball edged the visiting Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA), 53-51 in Friday's league bout.

The Knights now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hempfield Area for a WPIAL 6A 2 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Norwin will play a Spartans team coming off a 75-50 league loss to Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Canon-McMillan falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Big macs host Connellsville (Connellsville, PA) to play the Falcons in a WPIAL 6A 2 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Connellsville lost 70-17 in their recent league bout against Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA)
