In Friday's league contest, the host Lipan Indians basketball team scored a big 70-40 win over the De Leon Bearcats.
The Indians (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs come into the 2A Region II District 11 contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Poolville smashed De Leon (De Leon, TX), 40-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Santo Wildcats (Santo, TX) in a 2A Region II District 11 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. De Leon will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 7-16 record after their 74-19 league loss to Graford (Graford, TX).
