The Marquette Defenders basketball team scored 91 points and limited the host East Buchanan Buccaneers to 32 in the Defenders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Defenders now have a 11-0 record. They play next when they travel to Galena for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. Marquette will confront a Pirates team coming off a 52-32 league win over Stockton (Stockton, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, East Buchanan falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Midland (Wyoming, IA) to confront the Eagles in a Tri-Rivers game on Tuesday, January 14. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-10. Midland lost 71-21 in their recent league game against Central City (Central City, IA)
