In Friday's league contest, the visiting Edgewood Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 62-42 triumph over the Mineola Yellowjackets.
The Bulldogs (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX). The Indians go into the 3A Region II District 15 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Grand Saline topped Quitman (Quitman, TX), 72-33, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) in a 3A Region II District 15 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Mineola will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 55-22 league win over Eustace (Eustace, TX).
