Texas High School Basketball - La Joya sneaks past Edinburg North

The La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) basketball edged the visiting Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX), 37-33 in Friday's league bout.

The Coyotes now possess a 9-17 record. They play next when they travel to Economedes for a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 14. La Joya will play a Jaguars team coming off a 57-50 league loss to Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-11.

With the loss, Edinburg North falls to 17-12 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX) to play the Bears in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 14.
