In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Elk County Catholic Crusaders basketball team scored a big 59-33 triumph over the St. Marys Flying Dutch.

The Crusaders (11-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kane (Kane, PA). The Wolves go into the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Kane was trounced by DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA), 55-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Flying Dutch battle the Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) in a District 9 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. St. Marys will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Chucks go into the contest with a 5-4 record after their 53-21 league loss to Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA).
