In their last challenge, Denbigh Baptist Christian was routed by Portsmouth Christian (Portsmouth, VA), 62-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the battle the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA) in a Metropolitan challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Gateway Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 65-24 non-league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA).
