Next, the Wildcats encounter the Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Scurry-Rosser will attempt to improve on its 20-1 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 4-21 record after their 66-43 league win over Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX).

The Zebras (8-15) will now prepare for their test against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Rice was routed by Keene (Keene, TX), 77-31, in a league test.
